LEARNING INTENTIONS: To use the elements of art (line, form, space, shape, colour, and tone), pastels, and proportions in creating a self-portrait using a 'PICASSO-LIKE' style


REFLECTIONS: What did I learn? I learned that Picasso is a beautiful way to draw, the amount of colours are wonderful and I really enjoyed using all of the pastels. I learned how things don't have to be normal to be beautiful, abstract is a great form of art too! Another thing I learned is not to always use straight lines, to use true abstract. I also learned that messy things also look good, and when you make mistakes in abstract it looks even better, like how I messed up on the orange part of my face, and I ended up liking it! I love all of the bright colours we got to use, but what I didn't like was how I was the only one who liked doing the whole body, it looks better to me this way, either way I loved doing this project and I hope all my classmates did to! I like your reflection! You did a good job explaining what you enjoyed and what you didn't enjoy about the project! It is important to be honest when making your learning reflections. Here are some questions for you: Would your image have looked differently if you didn't use consistent lines? How did the use of different colours help create the effect you were going for? What else did you learn about the elements of art?
